Abbey Blackwell

Abbey Reach
Executive Director
Abbey Reach has over 8 years’ experience in the senior living industry. She attended the University of Montevallo, where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority, and Jefferson State Community College. Abbey has an Associate in Applied Science Degree as a Medical Support Specialist, a certificate as a Medical Office Assistant, and obtained her Assisted Living Administrator’s License for the State of Alabama in June of 2010. Abbey was a vital part of a startup facility, serving as the Business Office Director and was quickly promoted into the role of Administrator. Working with seniors has become a passion for Abbey, there is always something to be learned which makes every day fulfilling.

Cheryl Case

Cheryl Case
Activities Director
Cheryl has been a part of the Sunrise Ridge team since June of 2012. She first began as a Caregiver and was promoted to Resident Care Manager, then took over as Activities Director. She has lived in the Trussville area her whole life, graduating from Hewitt Trussville High School in 1978. She solely plans our activities calendar every month while striving to plan activities to engage as many residents as possible on a daily basis. She loves sitting with the residents and hearing about their life experiences and memories.

Lisa Jones

Lisa Jones
Director of Nursing
Lisa Jones has over 18 years’ experience in healthcare and over 6 years’ experience in the senior living industry. She obtained her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Wallace State Community College and her Licensed Practical Nursing license in 2003. She has extensive experience in the following areas: Hospital setting, Hospice, Oncology, Rehabilitation, Surgical, Orthopedic and Gynecology and now is our Director of Nursing. Lisa oversees our 45-50 residents and their medical needs and has since April of 2011. She develops care plans; monitors weight loss, medication changes as well as overseeing Nursing and Caregiving staff. Lisa has learned that out of all her nursing endeavors working with seniors has been one of the most rewarding.

Kristie Carty

Kristie Carty
Director of Sales and Marketing
Kristie graduated from UAB’s Dental Hygiene program and worked as a dental hygienist for 26 years until her recent change to Senior Living. Having lived in the Trussville/Clay area for 17 years she has established many relationships and we believe she will be a wonderful asset to our community.
Kristie lives in Clay with her husband, Barry. They have two children Justin (20) and Olivia (18).

Charlotte Grego

Charlotte Grego
Director of Dining Services
Charlotte has extensive food service experience in restaurants and management. Prior to joining our team she worked for Le Creuset as an Assistant Manager where she sold products, performed food demos and managed a team of employees. Charlotte has her ServSafe Certification and manages the Dining Room team of cooks and servers at Sunrise Ridge. She also plans our menus with our dietitian consultant and holds a meeting once a month with our residents to talk all things food! Charlotte is married to Stan Grego, has 3 kids-Brian, Jessica, Kyler and a granddaughter, Ryleigh. Charlotte’s favorite part of being at Sunrise Ridge is of course cooking, but also she has a tremendous heart for our residents and places a lot of pride in making them happy when it comes to the food that they are served.
